Getting to Things Left Unsaid
As promised, here's your newest #LoveNotes about my newly released book, "Things Left Unsaid." This blog post will be relatively short, sweet, and to the point since I generally make you read an entire novel at least once a week. I'd apologize, but hey, you chose to subscribe to a writer's website!
I began writing "Things Left Unsaid" without even realizing I was creating a project. Living in LA, you see a lot of strange things accompanied by very unique people. Like most humans, you conjure thoughts and opinions about just about anything you see. I opened my Notes app on my phone and began with the words "To the..." and the rest is basically history. It dawned on me that I have a lot of words and things I wish I did say, could say, or want to say to a variety of different people. Despite being confident, I have my moments when I'm not courageous enough to address another human. So, "Things Left Unsaid" was born.
I have a best friend that hears about all my ideas when they're in motion...I mean all of them (shoutout to you, woman!) I was a little hesitant about the reaction for this book because I wasn't sure if the idea was solidified or even flushed out enough. But, alas, we thought it was a keeper. We complied a list of people we would have words for, and I chose the ones I thought that most could also relate to. There are, per usual, more personal letters to specific people, but even those I think many can relate to.
I wanted to kick off 2020 with something that would set the tone for the remainder of the year. I definitely think I succeeded with that one! I am thrilled, overjoyed, excited, and emotional (what else is new) about sharing my most current words with y'all! I so hope that you find a page you resonate with and love.
